Artist Bio

Wayne Palacios was raised in Vista, CA, where the community consisted of a blue-collar melting pot of cultures and lifestyles. At the time, Vista was a place where families worked hard for what little they have. The community was built upon crafting and building things for themselves.

Wayne grew up doing BMX Freestyle, and like many of the young men there, he eventually got himself into trouble. After some growing up, he started fabricating and doing custom airbrush work on cars with his cousin who operates a reputable shop.  In addition to metal fabrication, Wayne excelled at automotive glass, and from there, he became the local go-to-guy for chopping and shaping glass for custom cars.

Wayne needed an outlet for his love of art, and found a passion in leather craftsmanship. Today, ‘Old 67’ is a representation of Wayne and the community he was raised in. His design and manufacturing is functional, intended for daily use, targeted for the working class, and all products are hand-built in his workshop in Oceanside, CA.
